New realities form as thoughts manifest into ideas, stories and actions. Thinking about the future is no easy task. Yet we all should practice it more often. Not to predict what comes next, but to embrace the wealth of possibilities at hand and to acknowledge this for our presence.
We live in an accelerating, hyperconnected world of seemingly endless opportunities where niche aspects turn into new normalities in no time. AKAW is a creative playground for bold futures exploration. Through its toolkits, community and workshops it helps groups to set out on collective thought experiments and explore and discuss the possibilities of the future. Let’s celebrate relentless curiosity, practice wondering „...what if?“ and think beyond the usual reasonable constraints.

Christian Rauch
AKAW Founder and Chief Creative
Christian is a physicist and cultural entrepreneur. Following his curiosity, he has worked as a PhD researcher on antimatter physics, brought scientists on stages of nightclubs in Helsinki, organized an AI-Art exhibition in downtown Los Angeles, and started an art-science festival and gallery in Berlin to work, among other things, to create a brainwave-controlled artwork as an empathy machine. He is visiting faculty member at the French Business-Club CEDEP, jury member of the German Creative Economy Award “Kreativpiloten” and member of the Communication Science Expert Bank at the German Academy for Technology. In 2020, Christian has founded AKAW to help groups have more meaningful conversations about the future and practice open-ended curiosity, together.
